
Characters of Act One
Marullus- Get's upset at the citizens for celebrating Julius Caesar's return so quickly when not so long ago, they were celebrating Pompey's success.
Cinna- A humble poet, he dies because of a name confusion; the crowd wanted to kill one of the assassins named Cinna.
Flavius- A tribune who gets upset at the citizens because they recently cheered for Pompey and now Julius Caeser, who were enemies.
Soothsayer- Told Caesar to take caution on the Ides of March.
Calphurnia- Caesar's wife. Didn't want Caesar to go to the Senate on the Ides of March, because she had dreams of him getting stabbed.
First Citizen(Carpenter)- A citizen celebrating Julius Caesar's return from Pompey.
Casca- A public figure that strongly opposes against Caesar's rule.
Second Citizen(Cobbler)- A citizen celebrating Julius Caesar's return from Pompey.
Cicero- A Roman senator known for his oratorical skill. He later dies at the order of Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus.
Caesar- A great Roman general and senator. He aspired to dictatorship over the Roman republic, which later on, led to his death.
Antony- Another friend of Caesar, when the assassination occurred, he swore alliance with Brutus and his group. However, he later on tells the citizens to go against Brutus, and a war begins.
Brutus- One of Caesar's close friends. He believed that killing Caesar would benefit Rome, because Caesar is too power hungry.
Cassius- A talented general and a longtime acquaintance with Caesar. Cassius gets jealous about the fact that Caesar is like a god in the Roman's eyes. He hints and persuades Brutus to join him to kill Caesar on the Ides of March.
